I like taking photographs during concerts. What interests me particularly is how a photograph of my favourite artist affects me: is it the gaze, the posture, the sweat, the strumming of the guitar, the person behind the persona, or simply the environment? What excites me is trying to understand the relationship between the artist on stage and me as the fan. I believe that the photograph – that other vehicle of emotions; whether pain, joy or trauma (you know, the stuff that makes the passing of time worthy of note) – can ‘help us look again at what we thought we knew’.

This is where I display my photographs: Aline Giordano
