About me

Boulgakov_0028 3

As my Twitter profile (@uzinemusic) will tell you: ‘Born in South Korea, adopted by French family, educated in France, now living in England. I write and take photographs for my online music fanzine’. Here are a few more facts about me:

I am a fan

I get passionate about things. Small obsessions include bulldog clips (probably because they hold things together neatly). More significant ones are numerous: literary works of Mikhaïl Bulgakov, Annie Ernaux and Albert Cohen; music by The Cure, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Bright Eyes, Cocteau Twins, Clem Snide, The Felice Brothers, Shearwater, Elliott Smith; movies by Takeshi Kitano, the poems of Jacques Prévert, TV series like Boston Legal, the movie Jean de Florette, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter – and Spring by Ki-duk Kim, the photography of Don McCullin, Man Ray and Willy Ronis… the list goes on.

I am a self-taught photographer
